An imperfect smile can hinder your self-confidence as well as your self-esteem. This is quite inconvenient. However, to help you and your imperfect smile, our George Yzaguirre, DDS, PA, General Dentistry dental team is proud to offer dental veneers at our office!
Dental veneers are thin shells that can disguise your tooth imperfections by being placed over the front surfaces of your chompers. Typically, it takes two different appointments to install the veneers. To help you know a little more about the treatment process, we would like to explain the nitty-gritty details.
First, our team will create an individualized treatment plan just for you. When you come into our office, tell Dr. George Yzaguirre all about your smile goals. This will help him know exactly which treatment is best for you and your smile. If dental veneers are the best treatment option, he will explain the details of the placement process and will take X-rays of your teeth.
Second, Dr. George Yzaguirre will prepare your teeth. The preparation will involve him shaving the front surfaces of your teeth to make room for the veneers. Once the teeth are the right size and shape, your dentist will make impressions of the teeth and will send those impressions to a dental lab technician. They will use the impressions to create the veneers that will perfectly fit your smile.
Third, your dentist will bond the veneers at your second appointment. During this appointment, your dentist will check the fit, size, and color of the veneers. If they are perfect for your smile, he will deeply clean the teeth and roughen their surfaces. Next, he will apply special dental-grade cement to the veneers and will place them over the teeth. Finally, he will use an ultraviolet light to harden the cement and bond the veneers.
As you can see, improving your smile with dental veneers can be simple and easy. If you’re interested in this treatment, please call 361-431-3113 at your earliest convenience and schedule an appointment. We are happy to see if this treatment is right for you!
